The Jackal is seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Spider
Narrative
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out high-paying hits. He soon meets his match in a tough British intelligence officer who tracks him down in an exciting cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
A really good thriller, great acting
In The Day of the Jackal (1973) The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model. Reference: Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024).
In fact, the entire cast was professionally competent
This was somewhat spoiled by the amateurish performance of the main character, who screamed fake in her whole person. Fortunately, Redmayne saved the day by playing Edward Fox, a professional killer.
I’m 5 episodes in, so I’m not sure about the ending, but my main gripe was with the main character, who was far below par
Apart from any flaws, what they lack compared to the previous 2 productions is their uniqueness, that they just surpassed this series with well-rounded and experienced actors in their roles.
