Narrative
CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic rendition of weapon handling, house cleaning, positioning, squad-based action, etc…
Great acting by all
Best new show, after Jack Ryan’s disappointing 4th season and all around lackluster shows, this was so much better in every way. It looks really good and the action/fight scenes look amazing.
I also haven’t seen any red flags so far, like every man looks incompetent or anything like that
It seems to me that most of the criticism of this show in the comments section boils down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operators thing, and I don’t mind a good female-led action show that’s an original IP that doesn’t turn the male lead into a female one, man. .
It’s entertaining without being the History Channel show that some commentators seem to prefer
Also, at first I thought it was going to be more of an action show, but then they delved into the family a bit and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t like what they were doing there. criticism is that the plot of what this specific group of operators is doing is very limiting to the story and could kill it if you move past the plot/villain of the season…it needs to be more fleshed out so they can make a new, more action packed one in a quick pace Homeland or risk becoming too episodic like BlacklistPS: So far Nicole Kidman’s part is incredibly small and unproblematic and could have been done by anyone else…We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show…But from what I seen so far, the show could stand on its own with Zaldana without any other A-Lister.TLDR Overall Cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’ve seen so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
